Circa 2002, Leuker Stefan shared the beta (version 0.5.6) of Flexisheet, a wonderful spreadsheet application of Mac Os X built as a multi-dimensional workplace, in a way similar to Quantix.
In 2004 the Flexisheet project came to a stop: Stefan released the code as opensource through Sourceforge and nobody works on this project anymore. The beta is too unstable to be used as a stable application, and the only alternative is the commercial Quantrix, which is too expensive for non-commercial use.
This blog is a 'desiderata' blog for Leuker Stefan to keep Flexisheet alive, coming back again to work on its code. Flexisheet was a real "think different" way to use a spreadsheet for Mac, and a killer application for end-users who do not want another excel-clone application for personal calc.
So, please add a comment if you want to help this petition to have Flexisheet return.
Thank you.

Comments:
I love it and I use it, but wish it was more stable and compiled on my core 2 duo. I've been keeping some data in this kind of spreadsheet since the NeXT days and repeat attempts to use a traditional spreadsheet just never work out.

I learned about multidimensional spreadsheets here. This is a revolutionary concept. Nobody knows it but everybody needs these tools badly.
